HOW TO DEAL WITH SUPPLIERS

 BY Lawrence King

A case or when it comes to dealing with suppliers there are certain things that you should do and look

Out for to make sure of when you're dealing with suppliers.

I've dealt with dozens of different supplies for different products.

And from that experience I've created a little list here for you of what to look out for.

So I'd like to do is I like to get quotes from five different suppliers.

If you look for just one supplier which I actually did at first you'll be left in their hands.

If they make a mistake or raise their prices and they are the only supplier you know it can be very

tricky to negotiate the price negotiate turnaround times of a product.

And if they run out of the product which can happen.

And believe me most probably will happen.

At some point in your Amazon journey you will be less stuck in the mud.

So choose five suppliers and pick your top supplier.

Always choose one supplier and have the other one on standby just in case.

EXAMPLE

  1. look for 5 different suppliers and receive quotes from all

  2. email supplier with a professional company email - No gmail. Yahoo, hotmail etc.

  3. Profesional easy and quick to read format, save the supplier and yourself valuable time

Now when it comes to messaging your new supplier I often recommend e-mailing with your company e-mail in a professional format.

So when you think about it supplies get hundreds of emails every single day from people asking for quotes.

Some of the e-mails will be scam e-mails or what they might believe to be scam and they will ignore them and not reply to those emails or if they do reply they will not reply fast.

A lot of these scam emails come from Gmail Yahoo and Hotmail accounts as they are quick and easy to set up and a free so they can delete the account and open a new one when they need to make sure when you email the supplier or factory that you email from your company email.

So for example if your company name is top products for example you can have your name at top Polacks dot com or purchasing at top products dot com.

That gives the supplier a lot more confidence in you and your company and they will most likely reply to you quicker and take you more seriously.

From the get go you also want to make sure that you save the supplier as much time as possible.

You want to have your email written and spaced out in a clear and easy to read professional format.

HERE

You want to remember to introduce yourself your business and then in the middle of the well formatted email you want to have your order with as much detail as possible and then sign off at the bottom with a thank you and I look forward to doing business with you you then should include your name company telephone and any extra information at the bottom of the email.

Make sure the supplier is reliable and quick at replying.

Remember to take note of the times your e-mails went out to the supplier and how quickly they got back to you.

Here is a little checklist for you of questions to ask yourself about each supplier.

Number one did they get back to you quickly.

How long did it take them to get back to you.

You will need quick responses in the future from your supplier.

Their speed can be the difference between you running our product or keeping it product in stock all

year around.

Number two did they read your email properly.

I've had it so many times in the past where suppliers not read my email properly.

This for me is a huge red flag as if they're not prepared to take the time to read an email then that

for me is someone who not only does not deserve my business but compulsively make sloppy mistakes in

the future and send you the wrong product or who knows what else they could do.

When you deal with careless people they can ruin your business.

Number three did they give you a fair price from the get go.

And are they honest about things.

The last thing you want to deal with is a supplier that lies to you is your business and reputation on the line at all times.

If anything that you claim is not legit about your product you can get in trouble.

Always look to do business with the most honest companies

by sticking to these things, You'll have a much easier time than I did when I first started of dealing with suppliers and finding the right supplies.
